Hello Katja

It's some years ago now but I don't remember any damages in the hull. Maybe it makes sense to fill up the holes with epoxy filler to reduce angular tensions.

Checking bolts for waterstay on hull

I moved the hole in the rudder blade 1,5 mm to make the rudder come a little further forward. It seems like the problem is solved. After 300 NM of sailing there har has been no problems at all. It's like the rudder settles in a position where the drag is reduced and doesn't move the rudder from it's...

Pressure on helm/rudder

My rudder is sliding back, causing a huge pressure on the helm. When starting sailing the boat is in a good balance. But after just some quick turns or after reaching higher speeds, the rudder slides slightly back, and I have the problem. It seems like the downhaul moves a little in the cleat before...

Do anyone know the statistic of capsized dragonflys. As I remember it is something like: - 7 or 8 DF 800 - 3 DF 28 - perhaps 1 DF 920 but I am not sure A couple of boats has capsized because of back swinging wings due to structural defects or forgotten safety lines but these are not included in above

Breaking Battens on DF28

I have sailed my DF28 for a year now. I have big problems with jibing. The battens keep on breaking. They are all broken 2 times now and the one in the top 5 times. When racing I do the chicken-jibe just to save the battens for the next upwind. Sounds ridiculous. Now I have changed all carbon batten...
