mast lowering
I've made a mast support for my 800 which is a simple horizontal piece of wood (from roof winch to winch) with a U-shaped cradle). Now I've got the knack of it, I routinely raise and lower the mast on my own (it takes me 1.5 - 2 hours to take the mast down). The most amusing bit is sitting legs akim...

suitable outboard
I've got a 4 stroke mariner 4hp long shaft with sail drive prop on my DF800 which I'd say is slightly underpowered in a blow. In hindsight, I should have got a 6hp.

Supplier for old roller reefing system
For folks' interest:
www.rigrite.com in the USA appear to supply all parts for the original isofurl roller reefing gear fitted to my early 90's DF 800.
A new bearing kit is $329

Isofurl
I appreciate this may now be too late for you but: a) I'd be interested in buying your profile if still available and b) there's a website in the US which states that all isofurl hardware is still available (although they are only contactable by fax so I haven't yet been able to verify). http://www....

Cockpit Tent Fittings Broken
Does anyone please know where I can replace the eye end fittings for the cockpit tent. They are stainless steel or possibly alloy and screwed to side coming and take the canopy end eye with a nut which bolts on to the fitting but which has sheared off.
thanks

engine
I third that opinion. Same happened to me and is likely to be the problem if you've run engine aground or had a rope caught around prop etc. or possibly just wear and tear. Removing the rubber bush is straightforward with a vice to hold prop whilst gently bashing out the bush and replacing.

furler
Although this may not be issue here, and may be because my furler is rather mature, I've found that simply letting off the backstay tension allows me to roll in the headsail when it would otherwise stick - worth a try first..

Wobbly Rudder
My rudder's developed a wobble as bolts holding rudder bracket have worn in the GRP. Am thinking about expoxy and a stainless strip or something similar. Has anyone else got experience of this problem and any solution?
thanks.
thanks.

a slice of aluminium mast from a topper sailing dinghy works for the 800 and assume about same for your 920, can sometimes find bent ones available post turning turtle in the mud.

Towing Eye / Kite Strain
I've a wobbly towing eye through the bow (suspect from use as spinnaker pole downhaul attachment in addition to use for pulling onto trailer) and have no easy way of accessing eye's nuts on inside of hull. Has anyone managed to reach nuts by removing water tank or otherwise (eg, replacing eye with t...
