Well, just came by and saw the old question. Pippo, the boat went to Stockholm and yes, a DF 28 is perfect for Stockholm (possibly the best thing you can have in Stockholm). They have to upsize the sails as it is almost never windy up there. I stay here in Malmö. Yes, there is a new boat. The yellow...

Öresund racing 2014

I'm looking for options to increase participation in races 2014 especially in the Öresund region. It was not very high numbers in 2013. Race organization from the sailing clubs are very good I think so it's something else (I think). Is it cost? Is it time? Is it cumbersome to get Texel rating? Is it...

Get more boats racing in Öresund

What I would like to discuss is if we can reach more multihull sailors and up participation in races. A thought is if we could meet perhaps the day before races on sundays or the sunday before a race next weekend. On such meetings we could sail on each others boats and learn from each other. Boats o...

Öresund Cup 2013

This year we had kind of a record low. Not many racing. The result was not clear until after the last race, Mum Cup. Winner is Mario Perko and crew.

Prize giving ceremony is about to be planned, most likely in Malmö at Gransegel.

Hi Pippo, I keep forgetting to visit this page. No, can't remember using bolts but rather stainless screws without nuts and washers. Maybe one or two bolts per block. The nuts and washers you see are probably for the swing wing hinge. The last picture shows where we come in. below and in front of th...

Finally I took the time to take the pictures. Bo (admin) will make them available in the context of this message. I am describing my conversion and put forward some opinions. However, anything you do to your boat is on you own risk. : Please click on any of the photos to see them enlarged! http://ww...

hi Pippo, Yes, I implemented this. Boat no 14. Works great (have no problems with it). Two cheek blocks and four or six plastic leads. I remember a problem not hitting the aluminium backing plate with all screws for the cheek blocks. Also, the laminate was really tough, impossible to screw if you dr...

Re: Propeller

I bought an original Honda High throust propeller, it is a different prop for a 10 Hp Honda. I found the new propeller i Hondamarine.se. A model for a 10 Hp has reference 06581-ZW9-A40ZA (I have a 15 Hp Honda). There are lots of makes, even props where you can set the angle manually. I just like ori...

Swing wing pull out

Did you see the pull out system for no 40? Saw it on Bella exhibition 2011. Will implement soon.

The pull out part of the rope goes forward from a cheek block and not out to the ama. Ask me for pictures (Can we attach pictures in this forum?).

Propeller

Yes, I read an article about thrust from propellers. Then I bought a high thrust propeller fron Honda (Have a 15 hp Honda). Yes, yeah, just going from the slip to ny pontoon was a thrill. True action from the motor. Acceleration like when I put three bladed folding prop on the J/110 as opposed to a ...

Close to the edge

Hi again, Just learning the ropes. Been out and broken two battenboxes and one batten (no 4 from top). Maybee if a batten can reach a shroud it should not be in carbon? Now I'm thinking of the danger signs. What signs are there that show me the end is near but capsize will NOT happen. And what signs...

Where are the limits

Hi all, Getting to know the boat I wonder if there are principles to apply. When sailing below reaching and having ten centimeters of freeboard left on the leward float, do we keep on pushing or should we let off (I let off that time). Should a pitchpole be expected when the float goes under? Will t...
