I have noticed when out sailing in company with other DF920s that our boat (#35, a 1998/9 cruising version) appears to sail much flatter than others. Centreboard removal

Can anyone describe how to remove the centreboard? We have a DF920, but I guess it should be similar for all DFs. I can see from the User Guide that there is an Allenscrew that has to be removed from underneath, but it is not clear how the pivot pin is then removed. Does it just drop out once the Al...

We have just re-rigged our 920 with new forestay, backstays, diamonds and waterstays for £2175 including VAT, all with dyform rigging wire. We did not replace the lower (rope) part of the running backstays.

Backstays

The backstay fiddle blocks on our 920 have integral snapshackles, and over time these have distorted. Is it standard for the blocks to be attached using snapshackles? Is there a reason for this? Is there a problem with replacing them with ordinary shackles (we don't plan to trail the boat frequently...
