Ama rubbing strake

i can now answer my own question! The best place to get the rubbing strake is from the factory, not too expensive EU 10/m + shipping. Sold by the metre or for an entire hull. Quorning source the material from a manufacturer in Denmark, hence it seems best to go direct to them.

Ama rubbing strake/trim

Does anyone know where you can source the grey rubbing plastic/rubber rubbing strake which is fitted over the top of the hull/deck joint (upstand) around the top of each of the ama's. My boat is a 920 but I am sure it is fitted on most of the other models. I have tried to source through the U.K deal...

Light switches/relays

Hi Diana,
Thanks very much for the information on the relays. Just one more question, where was the relay on your boat located for the light above the galley? I think that was the one you had trouble with, and I have the same problem in the same location.

Light switches

Hi Diana. I know the posts were some time ago, but could you please tell me how you solved the problem. I have a switch that has failed, but see from the very helpful advice from others that it may in fact be the relay. Did you replace the switch and/or relay, and where did you get them from. Could ...

I have been looking to do the same thing and researched folding bikes extensively. The only bike in the uk that fits is the Brompton. I actually took a pair of demonstrators to the boat to check. They fitted comfortably in the large locker below the cockpit in my 920 and if you remove the telescopic...

Hello Larry,

I have a 920 touring so with a bow sprit. I saw your posts regarding the elastic cord, but I am concerned that the buoy may be a bit heavy for the elastic. Hence my other idea.

Regards

Andy

Thanks for your replies. I realised that I had to take up the load on the winch, but too late to save my Halyard!! I will start again next season afresh, with your advice ringing in my ears!! On a separate subject I have also read the posts regarding setting up swinging moorings all of which is perf...

Dyneema Halyards

I have read a number of posts about damage to Dyneema main halyards. With the season just finishing, and on my last trip before the boat was taken out of the water, the outer sheath stripped at the Easylock location. Unfortunately the earlier posts have not answered the question about the best make ...

Thanks for the replies. Still think that it would be useful for something at the mid point of the AMA even for fenders etc, not a lot to tie onto really. Going to make up some different mooring lines to get round the issue. Phil, boat is currently still on the East coast where I bought it and where ...

Mooring cleats

I am a new owner of a Dragonfly 920T, having purchased 'Swift' #148. I would like to add a couple of folding mooring cleats to each of the AMA's, by drilling through for the bolt fixings, removing the foam core around the bolt positions and then glassing in a plywood pad inside the AMA, and using pe...
