Proof of EU -VAT paid

I am considdering buying Dragonfly 800 SW #2xx build in 1999 in the Netherland but have run into trouble getting any kind of proof of paid VAT. I have been in touch with Quorning, the seller and the former dutch dealer/owner without any succes. There is absolutely no paper traces on this boat. I would appreciate if there is a previous owner here in this group that can help or I will have to forget about bringing this boat to Denmark.
