Does anyone know where to find an original cleat?

This is my setup for running backstays. I am quite sure it is original, but anyhow this is working extremely well. The load is very high and there are 8mm Aisi316 plates, size about 80 x 150mm, under the deck cleat. The cleat is equipped with two M12 screws.Double Horizon wrote:Definitely a non-standard setup. Am curious -- Mika would you post pictures that show how the backstay is rigged?

That is not a standard setup. I have never seen any Dragonfly with those extra backstays, or an eye bolt attaching the deck cleat. It looks like an owner add-on. Don't they interfere with the roach of the main?Mika Harju wrote:Do not worrySteve B. wrote:I'm amazed you haven't been dismasted.

I have the same sytem than you have, BUT my running bacstays are there as an extra attachement. They keep the forestay tensioned and straight(er) when tacking.
My mast is still up and goingeven it is loaded with 152% sails

I hope attached drawing will help you to understand my setup. They do not interfere with the square top main sail at all.Double Horizon wrote:
