I want a more performance (vs comfort/luxury/cruising) oriented model this time. I love sailing my 800R but would like a Little more cabin space for the family. Just four ok berths and simple cooking fac and toilet. I light boat need less sail area and smaller rig which makes a less expensive boat as well.

I don't know what Quorning has in mind, but when you consider the high price of a DF28, they might be going for a lower price objective.
A plumbed head with holding tank, and other permanently installed boat systems add greatly to the cost (and weight). This size is not going to be a "cruising model", so I think a stripped-down performance "sport boat" at a lower price point should be the objective.

Suggestions for 25 DF
My suggestions as an owner of a DF800 MK11 for 5 race seasons.
- Design brief - Saturday racer with occasional camping if required.
- Keep it simple.
- Centerboards in the amas or offset lifting centerboard in cabin (more room in the cabin)
- No traveller in the middle of the cockpit
- Easy mast raising and lowering
- Trailerable
- No toilet - keep it simple and use porta pottie if needed.
- maybe folding bunks on one side of cabin.
- no mast step in cabin - reinforced cabin top?
- Large pop top?
- built in prodder?
- outboard mount that would allow short shaft motor to be used.
- Design to allow for a good cockpit tent/shade feature.

I hope they will not try to compete with the Corsair Dash: that would simply mean sharing the market without offering something new. They should look at daring new projects like the French astus 24, which has a double cabin, but a bad folding system. An integrated cokpit tent would sureley be an asset to consider, doubling the living room while cruising.
