Wondering if fitting a second engine mount is viable to hold a tender engine.

Does anyone have any alternative suggestions?

How large an engine? The 8 hp I have on the hull would be the same size to get a dinghy on the step... A small engine could live in a float.

I was thinking of a 2-4hp to push a tender along.
Is there a max recommended weight for the floats? I would never have considered putting an engine in one.

I need a solution, potenitally another engine mount would restrict access to the rear cleat which is an issue on the port side already.
