Any experience with a four stroke 6 hp?

I have asked this question in another thread, but it is pretty buried there.
Anyway, I am looking for opinions from anyone who has real world experience using a 6hp outboard on their DF800 (either two or four stroke).
I currently have an 8hp, but I am looking to replace it, and am interested in the lighter weight / lower cost of a 6hp. I am concerned that it might not have enough power for windier days though. I normally just motor out a short distance out a protected creek and then sail from there in the Chesapeake Bay. Just want to make sure it's enough power to head into 25-30 knots if needed. Thanks!
