The Raymarine autopilot failed on the new-to-me DF35 last weekend with a MOT STALL error (Raymarine ST6002+/S1 Autopilot & Jefa Direct-Drive 150-12V from boat listing description). I don't what exactly failed yet, but other than fixing what I have I'd like to have an easy-to-install backup system. Does anyone use Simrad Tp32? The intuitive urge with autopilots is to get one rated for 1 step above your boat size, but Tp32 is the biggest simple tiller pilot they have and it's rated for 35ft boats.

Any other suggestions?
