Possible problem with cabin door

This summer after sailing in some very rough seas we were unable to open the door between the main salon and head compartment. The cause of the problem was immediately obvious after looking down through the overhead hatch:
The cabinet door beneath the sink had popped open, fell against the door and wedged it closed. Fortunately the overhead hatches were not locked and we were able to enter without damaging a hatch.
See the picture. 1200 owners should sail with one of the forward hatches unlocked.
