DF1000 TransAt?

Is it feasible for an experienced crew to cross the pond from the east coast of the US to Europe (via the Azores?) in a 1000?
Check out posts from LInsolent who took his Df1000 from West Africa to South America. Apart from the obvious problems, fresh water supply may need to be supplemented with a watermaker: the main tank is only 100 litres plus a few more in the hot-water tank.
