Broken deck cleat

I broke my stern deck cleat because of too hard wind. There was too much tension on the backstay and the cleat broke up in two pieces.
Does anyone know where to find an original cleat?

These fit directly and are made of steel instead of aluminium alloy.

They are quite heavy  but robust.

I don't understand what you are doing.
I have a DF1000 (#15) and there's no backstay.

Thought the sidestay/backstay would go to a chainplate bolted to the vertical part of the ama. Cleat + Wichard eyebolt looks like user modification. Not sure it can carry the backstay loads even if the cleat is stronger.

Definitely a non-standard setup. Am curious -- Mika would you post pictures that show how the backstay is rigged?

This is my setup for running backstays. I am quite sure it is original, but anyhow this is working extremely well. The load is very high and there are 8mm Aisi316 plates, size about 80 x 150mm, under the deck cleat. The cleat is equipped with two M12 screws.
I think this kind of running backstay is necessary to keep the forestay tensioned when tacking.
See attached photos.

I'm amazed you haven't been dismasted.

The stays should go to the amas, splitting into a "Y" at an oval threaded fitting about four feet above the ama decks.
The forward part of the "Y" continues in stainless wire to a chainplate about a foot forward of the aka swivel.
The aft end of the"Y" is attached to the purchase which you have attached to the hull, but it DOES NOT GO THERE !
It should go aft on the aka and attach to a chainplate on the INNER side of the aka directly across from the outer chainplate where your preventer is attached.

I will take a few pics of my boat and post them.

Do not worry :o
I have the same sytem than you have, BUT my running bacstays are there as an extra attachement. They keep the forestay tensioned and straight(er) when tacking.
My mast is still up and going :D even it is loaded with 152% sails :D :D :D :D

That is not a standard setup. I have never seen any Dragonfly with those extra backstays, or an eye bolt attaching the deck cleat. It looks like an owner add-on. Don't they interfere with the roach of the main?

I hope attached drawing will help you to understand my setup. They do not interfere with the square top main sail at all.
