mast base - loose center cup

Hallo everybody,
I have a DF 28 from 2017, 6 th season .
Before setting up the mast I noticed that the round cup centering the mast on a mast base ( top of the boat ) is not connected with a base - it is loose . I ve heard from one DF owner that I can glue it in with a special steel glue and it will work.
Do You have any experience in that ? Any hints ? Pls let me know as I did not have that issue before ...
