I agree - the boat should not be left unattended in heave weather, but then we can go back to the initial question: why then a round fixed mast? Where I live we are not allowed to store the boat on land in the winter with mast on. We have to demount, and this carbon mast is really heavy - 3 persons ...

I am pretty convinced that Larry is closest to the most reliable explanation, although he present it as a joke. The mast on a 920'er is spun and therefore not very flexible. This means that it must be braced exaggerated and thus becomes very heavy. Basically a strange design for a boat made for spee...

Last summer I had the same problem. I sawed out the fiberglass around the lock and replaced the fiberglass with a stainless steel plate. The total thickness of the stainless steel plate is the thickness of the fiberglass + 2 mm. The steel plate overlap the fiberglass (10-15 mm) on all sides, and whe...

I know there is one who knows for sure - Jens Quorning. 8th of december I send him a mail, asking about details on the block in the aft beam and on establishing a safety wire. How to fortify the eye bolt at the bow, what kind of snapshackle to be recommended and dimensions on the wire/dyneema. Unfor...

Hi Eric I just checked on the Danish Maritime Authority's homepage. They answer a question as follows: Q: Should an imported recreational vessel for example from Japan or another country outside the EU, produced in example Denmark in 1992, have the CE mark? A: We do not require CE marking of a recre...

Hopefully you are right, but the truth is, that we can produce hypotheses from now on to christmas evening. I think it's time for Quorning to comment on this issue! Another way to go is contacting the 920-owner directly. Is there anyone who has contact details? What about our Dutch friends? Maybe it...

Hi You don't tell from where you want to import the boat - but at the bottom line it does'nt matter. As the boat is produced in the EU you can import it from anywhere even if it is produced before the CE mark was launched. I have imported two DF's from USA - both without CE marking. I asked the auth...
